Director of Distance Education Recruitment - Unity College

Job Description:
The Director of Distance Education Recruitment will oversee planning, coordination, and evaluation of all recruitment, retention, and operational components of the dynamic Distance Education programs at Unity College. This position works with the Chief Distance Education Officer (CDEO) to continue to transform Unity College from a college with a strong regional presence to a leading national institution of higher education. Within the framework of functional leadership, this position will work closely with the Distance Education Team to lead all distance education recruitment and retention efforts and day-to-day operations. Specific duties include (but are not all inclusive):
Build and lead recruitment and retention efforts of all distance education programs to enhance the regional, national, and international reputation of the College.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards for quality assurance as related to recruitment and retention in distance education.
Ensure standardized practices of processing prospective student inquiries are created and implemented. Monitors and reports conversion progress/metrics and initiates and identifies corrective action as needed.
Ensure Distance Education maintains a culture of superior customer service through example, encouragement, and direction of staff.
Track and analyze data to assist in developing and assessing distance education programs.
Provide liaison between the college and the administration of partner institutions (for example: community colleges, military education centers, high schools, corporations), as assigned.
Supervise Distance Education student support and recruitment staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent five to ten years of student recruitment experience, plus:
Minimum of three years of distance education experience
Direct experience in successful, productive online or distance education programs.
Possess a sophisticated understanding of the tenets of retention and recruitment.
An entrepreneurial spirit is desired - a person dedicated to building an institutional enterprise.
Excellent project management skills and proven supervisory and staff development skills to effectively manage teams, inspire quality performance, and enhance morale.
Strong analytic, problem-solving, written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Positive attitude, flexibility, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.

Additional Information:
This is a location bound full-time, calendar-year, exempt position. There is a requirement to work irregular hours and weekends as needed to ensure maximum exposure and coverage, but is primarily day shift. Must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling responsibilities and meeting the college's needs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
