Assistant Director of Admissions - Transfer Counselor - Unity College

Job Description:
A results oriented position responsible for managing all transfer student recruiting activities at Unity College. Responsible for all aspects of the admissions recruitment cycle including travel to two-year colleges, community colleges, college fairs, communicating with transfer counselors, college faculty, prospective students and parents. Maintains accurate records and works proactively with annual inquiries, applicants, and deposited students. Specific duties include (but are not all inclusive):
Consistently meet and exceed territory recruitment goals.
Build and maintain necessary relationships with prospective students and other influencers.
Prepare and deliver effective recruitment presentations at two-year and community colleges, fairs, and community groups.
Counsel and guide students through each stage of the admissions process.
Use Social Media as an integral part of their outreach.
Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends and travel extensively to achieve recruitment goals.
Become knowledgeable and articulate about Unity College, its programs, market niche. strategies and procedures.
Coordinate with the development office to utilize alumni relationships in the recruitment process.
Manage all aspects of transfer recruiting within the admissions funnel.
Full life cycle management of a pool of applicants: Proactive and holistic student contact and conversion throughout the inquiry, application, and processes using the Constituent Relationship Management database.
Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment strategy designed to attract and retain an academically talented, financially viable and diverse student body.
Represents Unity College at annual college fairs and college visits.
Maintain current and develop new partnerships with transfer personnel and faculty members in the name of Unity College for the sole purpose of recruiting transfer students.
Maintain accurate visit and recruiting records for all two-year and community colleges.
Maintain accurate communication records in CAMS for each prospective student contacted.
Assist prospective Unity College student, applicants, accepted and deposited students, in navigating the college decision process. Contact by phone, email, social networking and traditional mail is required.
Serve as primary information provider for students and their families during the financial aid award process.
Conduct campus interviews and tours with visiting students and their families.
Attend Open House and Preview events as well as New Student Experience.
Partner with Unity College Area Representatives to recruit greater numbers of students from secondary and tertiary territories.
Travel and work flexible hours to recruit high school students through presentations at high schools, fairs, and collaborative work with partners, schools or community groups and other off-campus events as needed.
Participate in the planning and staging of special on-&-off-campus events, as needed.
Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with at least 1-3 years of job-related experience; Must have excellent initiative and organizational skills with ability to work both autonomously and in a team. Great time management skills and efficient in handling paperwork are required. Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse political/socioeconomic backgrounds and a wide range of physical and academic abilities. Good skills in word process, spreadsheets, and computerized database systems. Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college.
Preferred: Master's Degree in higher education or environmentally related field. Experience in college admissions or recruiting or sales. Experience in organizing and developing college articulation agreements. Experience with Transfer Credit Evaluations.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, calendar-year, exempt position. Primarily day shift with weekends and/or extended hours. Must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling responsibilities and meeting the college's needs. Extensive travel required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk as well as talk and hear. The employee must have the ability to lift, move and/or carry equipment and supplies up to 40 lbs and to load/transport admissions materials, displays and equipment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
